Queen Elizabeth: England monarch set to step down for Prince Charles

The 91-year-old Queen Elizabeth has reportedly made indication of stepping down from the throne and make Prince Charles the King of England, according to royal source.

The source added that by Queen’s 95 birthday, the long-reigning monarch would have abdicated the throne, and currently the transition wheels have been put in motion.

“I understand the Queen has given the matter considerable thought and believes that, if she is still alive at 95, she will seriously consider passing the reign to Charles.”

Staff at Buckingham Palace were said to to have been told to “get up to speed” on the Regency Act if it is needful to be brough to force.
Queen Elizabeth who ascended the throne on 1953, is one of the longest serving Monarch in Europe.The royal insider yesterday claimed the Queen wanted the “minimum of fuss” and stressed that abdication was “not even a consideration”.
Even as she approaches her 92nd birthday, the hard-working Queen still participates in not less than 600 professional bodies, charities, public-service organisations and military associations.
