A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist, known as Okada rider, was killed in a truck accident on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The incident, which occurred around 11 a.m. at Oke-Adini junction in the Sango-Kulende area, involved a collision between the motorcyclist and a heavy-duty truck.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident was caused by overspeeding from both the Okada rider and the truck driver as they traveled in the same direction towards Maraba. The impact was fatal, with the Okada rider sustaining severe head injuries.
While a traffic officer at the scene declined to comment, witnesses recounted the event, and a group of good Samaritans organized a private vehicle to remove the rider’s body from the scene.
