- Arrival follows presentation of N47.9 trillion 2025 budget
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos State on Wednesday afternoon to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays. His aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, at exactly 3:23 pm.
The President was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and other cabinet members.
Arrival After Key National Duty
Before traveling to Lagos, Tinubu had earlier in the day presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill, amounting to N47.9 trillion, to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja.
A statement from the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the details.
“President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays,” the statement read. “Governor Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Hamzat, and members of the Lagos cabinet welcomed the President at the airport.”
Tinubu’s visit marks his first holiday season in Lagos as President, and it is expected to feature engagements with state officials and community stakeholders during his stay.
