NPFL: Go Round FC targets to be among best 3-Proprietor

The proprietor of Go Round Football Club, Felix Obuah, says the club is targeting to finish among the best three at the end of the 2017/2018 football season.

Go Round qualified to play in the elite league from the Nigeria National League (NNL) and won the Super Four tournament of the league.

Obuah told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that the team was determined to do well in their first year in the premier league.

“ As the champion of the NNL, we know what it takes to be in the league. We have met most of the teams in the NPFL before. My players have been together for many years.

“ They are like one family, they fear no team. We are not in the league to stay, we will win. Go Round FC will emerge as one of the best three teams at the end of the season. We have come to make a change in Nigerian football,” he said.

Obuah commended Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers for appreciating the team saying that the promise of the foreign trip had motivated the players to do well.

Wike had promised the team a trip abroad for training if they finish among the top three at the end of the season.

Obuah said “ the governor`s promise is a huge motivation. The technical crew and players have agreed to achieve that goal. The team is charged and they want to win the league,”.

He said that he planned to make the club a household name in Nigerian football with enormous motivation and incentives.

“ My target is to make Go Round FC a household name in Nigerian football. It might interest you to know that our support base has gone beyond Rivers State and we are expanding the base,” the proprietor said.
