Adamawa 2023: Rep. Namdas declares guber ambition
Rep. Abdurrazaq Namdas of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared interest to contest for the governorship of Adamawa in 2023.
Namdas (APC-Jada/Ganye/Mayo-Belwa/Toungo) declared made the declaration at the state APC secretariat on Thursday in Yola.
He pledged to turn the state around through pragmatic but undisclosed strategies, saying it will be a role model for emulation.
Namdas, was a practicing journalist, founder and editor of the Viewer Newspaper, and former Press Secretary to ex-governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa.
He was nominated to be Deputy Governor aspirant in joint ticket with Markus Gundiri in 2011 on the platform of defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
Namdas was also Director-General of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Aspiration Support Group in 2015.
He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2015 on the platform of the APC.
Until his election as member of the Federal House of Representatives, he operates The Viewer Television terrestrial station based in Abuja.
Speaking earlier, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, the state Chairman of the party, assured of enabling playing ground and justice for all contestants.
