Fayose denies promising to commit suicide if President Buhari returns alive

Governor Ayodele Fayose has denied to commit suicide if President Muhammadu Buhari comes back to Nigeria alive.

Fayose who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, told journalists that the governor never made such statement, but the handiwork of the All Progressives Congress in state.

“Mr. Fayose never said he would commit suicide if the President returns to the country.

“It is the creation of the APC. It is their style to create such falsehood,”‎ he insisted.

There had been reports that the Governor said: “I will commit suicide if Buhari comes back alive”.

President Buhari arrived from the United Kingdom on Saturday since May 7 he left the country on the follow-up of his medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association has threatened to drag Governor Fayose to court should he not apologise for his disparaging statements made about President Buhari’s health while he was not in the country.
