Ahmed Makarfi, PDP caretaker Chairmar, gets tenure 4 months EXTENTION, in ongoing party convention
The Peoples Democratic Party at its ongoing convention in Abuja on Saturday has extended the tenure of its Caretaker Chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, alongside his national committee by four months.
Makarfi, who was a former governor of Kaduna State, jostled for the position with the former governor of Borno State, Alimodu Sheriff, before the court ruled in his favour.
More than 3,000 delegates from across the country are in attendance at the non-elective convention of the party.
The extension was approved Saturday afternoon by delegates from the country’s 36 states and the FCT at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
