Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) has expressed its hope of winning the governorship election of the Kogi State on 21 November, even as the party promised to provide free education and healthcare if elected, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party said in a communique yesterday.

The statement which was signed by the party chairman, Rev. Olusegun Peters, stated that the NWC expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the party’s governorship candidate in Kogi State, Comrade Ezekiel Comrade Ezekiel Koleola Philips and the Bayelsa State gubernatorial flag bearer Barr. Henry Apeli.

He said:  “NWC urged them to remain focused in their grassroots campaigns with a view to winning the governorship elections in Kogi State on November 21 and Bayelsa State on December 5. NWC further urged eligible voters in Kogi and Bayesla states to vote massively for DPC as the party has offered free education and free healthcare to the people. DPC shall keep its electoral promise to the good people of the states.

“NWC urged INEC to be neutral, fair, and diligent in conducting the elections. NWC frowned at the current scarcity of petroleum products across the country and urged the federal government to take action in ensuring adequate supply of the petroleum products and pay outstanding debts to petroleum marketers.
