Pastor Kumuyi Invited to Attend Trump’s Inauguration, to Engage with U.S. Leaders on Christian Values

Date:

Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), has received a formal invitation to attend the second and final inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States, scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

The Nigerian pastor, who has had a significant influence in global Christian circles, will participate in the historic event while also engaging in several key activities during his stay in the U.S.

Reports confirm that Pastor Kumuyi will not only attend the inauguration but will also meet with influential members of the U.S. Congress, American church leaders, and media representatives. This engagement aims to strengthen the dialogue on Christian values, religious freedom, and faith-based policies on a global scale.

In remarks shared prior to the event, Pastor Kumuyi praised President Trump for his staunch support of Christianity and religious liberty during his tenure. “President Trump’s stand for the gospel is not without recognition, not just by American Christians, but all Christians globally,” he stated. Kumuyi specifically noted the efforts Trump made to champion religious freedom, including the historic meeting of foreign ministers dedicated to international religious freedom during his first term.

Reflecting on the importance of this occasion, Pastor Kumuyi expressed that this event represents more than just a political transition. “This moment in history reminds us that faith transcends borders and unites believers worldwide,” Kumuyi said.

“As we gather in Washington, D.C., the global church stands together in prayer and purpose, advocating for faith-based dialogue to shape policies that uphold religious liberty and foster the growth of Christianity worldwide.”

Accompanied by his wife, Esther, Kumuyi emphasized the need for Christians to engage with leaders across the world to advance the mission of the gospel. In a recent address to his congregation, Kumuyi stressed the importance of adapting strategies for the growth of Christianity. “We cannot continue to do things in the same way and expect better results. We need to interact with the gatekeepers to further spread the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” he noted.

The pastor’s participation in the inauguration and related events underscores the vital role of faith in fostering global change. By engaging with policymakers, church leaders, and the media, Pastor Kumuyi aims to foster deeper collaboration on issues of religious liberty and Christian values, bringing a message of unity to believers around the world. His visit is seen as a step toward creating stronger alliances that can work together for the advancement of the gospel on a global stage.

The event is not just about the political transition but is also a moment for the global Christian community to unite in purpose and prayer.

Pastor Kumuyi’s trip represents a significant opportunity to reinforce the power of faith in shaping policies and building a future where religious freedom remains a cornerstone of international dialogue and diplomacy.

As one of the foremost religious leaders in Nigeria and a global influencer, Pastor Kumuyi’s engagement with U.S. leaders at this historic moment signals the growing influence of faith-based discussions in world affairs and emphasizes the importance of maintaining religious freedoms across all nations.
