ROYAL NEWS publisher, Abdulazeez Arowona bags traditional title
The publisher of ROYAL NEWS has been conferred a traditional title of Shettiman by Okuta Emirate, Kwara State.
The notification of the conferment, signed by the Emir of Okuta, Alhaji Idris Sero Abubakar, stated that the Emirate recognizes Arowona’s “numerous strides towards grassroot growth, natonal peace, unity and development.”
The emirate council also disclosed in the that formal installation and turbaning ceremony shall come forth during the Gaani Cultural Festival between 5th to 7th November, 2021 at the Emir’s Palace.
The notification in part reads, “We recognize you as a versatile journalist and social entrepreneur who has being championing the course of cultural preservation and development of communities, Kingdoms and Emirates Councils with strong committments to the unity and peace of our dear country.
“We recognize your unwavering loyalty to His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, the Ilorin Emirate Council, respect for Traditional Rulers in Kwara State as well as the entire traditional institutions in the Northern Nigeria.
“With these and many more, we are delighted to honour you with the traditional title of Shettima Okuta Emirate Council as a unique mark of appreciation and encouragement in order to achieve more for humanity in general as well as Okuta Emirate Council and Baruten local government area in particular’’
