The Adamawa Police Command has assured citizens of adequate security during the Eid-el-Kabir period.
The Command gave the assurance Wednesday in Yola in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje.
It said that proactive measures had been put in place, including the deployments of tactical and intelligence personnel, to prevent any untoward incidents in the state.
It enjoined the public to abide by COVID-19 protocols while celebrating the occasion, bearing in mind, the coronavirus pandemic, warning that the command would ensure compliance.
“The command however, reminds the citizens that the COVID-19 prevention regulation orders, are still in force,” it said.
While congratulating the Muslim Community, it called for vigilance, urging residents to cooperate with the police and other security agencies during and after the festive period.
