16 Almajiris sent to Jigawa from Kano test positive for coronavirus
Sixteen Almajiris who were sent to Jigawa state from Kano state, have tested positive for the novel Conarovirus.
The state Commissioner for Health, Abba Zakari, who disclosed this in a press conference today May 7, said 607 samples from the deported Almajiris were taken for testing but only 45 of the results were released today. Of the 45 test results, 16 of them came back positive.

Zakari said the remaining 29 that returned negative would be united with their families soon and each would receive N10,000 and clothing while the 16, who tested positive, would be transferred to the state’s isolation facility for treatment
