Adamawa Food Warehouse Pilferage: Police confirm arrest of 44 suspects
The Adamawa Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 44 persons involved in the activities of stealing food and non-food items in government warehouses.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Yola.
The incident happened in the state capital when the hoodlums vandalised the storage facilities at about 11 a.m on Sunday and stole the items.
The items included maize, rice, beans, corn, generators , wrappers, mattresses and plastic buckets.
Nguroje said that security personnel had been deployed to enforce curfew declared by the state government and securing public and private infrastructures as well as markets.
He called on the public to be law abiding and assured that security operatives would recover some of the items and arrest those involved.

President Tinubu states that the success of the presidential election in Senegal and the successful conduct of the general election in Liberia a few months ago have affirmed his long-held conviction that the taproot of democracy is deeply established in West Africa and will only grow stronger as it is watered by good governance, justice, and fairness to all.
As the Chairman of ECOWAS, the President affirms that the successful conduct of the Senegal election is a boost to the sub-regional organization in its efforts to promote peace and constitutional order, as well as strengthen ties among member states.
President Tinubu congratulates the people of Senegal and assures them of Nigeria’s best wishes and support.

Ramadan: Dangote donates 80,000 Bags Of 10kg Rice, bread To Vulnerable Lagosians
In spirit of Ramadan, the Chairman of the Aliko Dangote @AlikoDangoteFdn, in person of @AlikoDangote, today donated Eighty Thousand (80,000) Bags of 10kg rice to Lagosians.
He said this is in addition to the distribution of 12,500 loaves of bread which is being dispersed daily.
@AlikoDangote said that the donation is targeted to the vulnerable and it is not limited to any faith.
