Buhari seeks Senate’s approval for N2.557trn supplementary budget
The Senate on Tuesday read at the plenary a request for approval for supplimentary budget from President Muhammadu Buhari.
The supplementary budget of N2.557trn was read by the senate president, Senator Lawan Ahmed, contained an amount meant to provide for subsidy on petroleum products from June to December 2022.
The amount approved for subsidy on Petroleum products from January to June was N443 billion and with the present request, the total amount stands at N3 trillion.
Buhari has also written the Senate, seeking a review of the Finance Act 2021.
