The CEO of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, who was in Mali as at the time of incidence where terrorists held 170 people hostage, has debunked story that he was part of people held hostage.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the billionaire businessman said the story was nothing more than rumour. Dangote said, “Rumour about me being held hostage is false. I was in Mali yesterday. Thank you for your concern. My prayers with those involved.”
The jihadist has made an attack on Raddison Blu Hotel, a five-star hotel on Friday in the city of Bamako where 170 were and 3 people reportedly died.
Dangote was announced the richest man in African barely 2 days ago by the Forbes magazine with other notable Nigerians like Tony Elumelu, Mrs Alakija, Mike Adenuga also making the list.
