Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi, the newly appointed Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, has committed to securing Kano State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections. Speaking to journalists in Kano on Sunday, Abdullahi pledged to align closely with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, specifically focusing on housing initiatives.
Abdullahi, who formerly served as Speaker and Majority Leader in the Kano State House of Assembly, thanked President Tinubu for entrusting him with the ministerial role. “This appointment is for the people of Kano State and Nigeria as a whole. I assure the President that, God willing, Kano State will return as an APC stronghold in 2027,” he affirmed.
He emphasized the importance of completing housing projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to address housing needs while bolstering APC’s influence in Kano. Abdullahi highlighted the political importance of Kano Central, a region with 65% of the state’s voter base, as critical to APC’s 2027 success. “My experience in state governance gives me the confidence to achieve these goals for Kano,” he stated, adding that his active presence in his ward and constituency would reinforce APC’s political base.
Abdullahi expressed confidence in fulfilling his commitments to the ministry and to APC’s success in Kano, citing his years of political experience and public service in the state.
