“Friends and family, I regret to inform you that my father, Miguel Ángel López Días, Rey Misterio Sr., passed away this morning. I will keep you informed. Thank you,” the post read. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Rey Misterio Sr., who began his career as a boxer before transitioning to wrestling in 1976, was a pioneer in the world of Lucha Libre, Mexico’s beloved wrestling tradition. Over his illustrious career, he won numerous titles, including the:
