Osun Perm Sec kidnapped, hacked to death along Abuja-Okene Road

Permanent Secretary of Bureau of General Serevices in Osun state, Mrs. Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole, has been kidnapped and hacked to death.

Kolawole was abducted by hoodlums on Friday while travelling from Osogbo to Abuja for an official assignment and taken to unknown place.

The Permanent Secretary was reportedly attacked by the kidnappers on her way to attend the inauguration of the Ministry of Justice Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Abiola Adewemimo, being one of the justices of Industrial Court.

The incident has been confirmed by Mr. Sunday Owoeye, State Head of Service, in a statement, in which commiserate with the deceased family and colleagues.

“On behalf of the Forum of Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries, Tutors-General, Accountant-General, Auditors-General and Surveyor-General, and with rude shock and a deep sense of loss, I hereby painfully announce the untimely death of Mrs. OLUFUNKE OLUWAKEMI KOLAWOLE who was brutally attacked by kidnappers while travelling along Okene – Abuja highway on her way to Abuja on Thursday, 12th July, 2017 for an official assignment.

“Until her death, Mrs. Kolawole was the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of General Services, Office of the Governor, State of Osun.

“The Forum commiserate with the families of the deceased, the entire public service and the State Government of Osun on this irreparable loss.”
