Jigawa government declares Friday holiday to pray for Buhari

With the increasing need to offer prayer for ailing Nigeria president, Muhammadu Buhari, the Jigawa government has set apart Friday, July 7, as public holiday to give public servants opportunity to specially pray for his recovery.

Making the announcement in Dutse on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Head of Service, Alhaji Isma’il Ibrahim, asserted that the State Executive Council took the decision after rising from meeting on July 5.

“In Katsina, Friday has been declare a work-free day so as allow public servant to join other citizens to offer special prayers for the wellbeing of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“All public servants and the entire state are expected that day to pray to Almighty Allah to grant quick recovery to our president

“The day is also set aside to offer prayer to Almighty Allah to allow Jannatul Firdausi to Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule, the late Danmasanin Kano

It’s been 60 days since President Buharil left Nigeria to United Kingdom for medical treatment.

His health has been a trending discuss in the country and the presidency has said Buhari’s health condition does not allow for constitutional crisis since he officially handed over to Vice President before he left.

Recall the FELLOW PRESS reported that Peoples Democratic Party, has advised Mr. President to resign just the way he (Buhari) advised late Musa Yar’Adua to resign back then in 2009 when he (Yar’Adua) was sick.

Reacting to an article that speculated imminent political and constitutional crisis the country might face in the light of President’s absence from the country, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Garba Shahu, said such is a needless and exaggerated speculations.

The article was titled “The Gentleman’s Agreement that Could Break Apart Nigeria”, and published in Foreign Policy, a united state-based magazine.
