President ‘Buhari’s return to Nigeria’ becomes odd for gamblers
Sports betting website, Naijabet, has started to further diversify its wager possibilities, by moving into the political sphere.
The platform has started to take odds from customers, allowing them to place their bets on when President Muhammad Buhari could possibly return.
The site is taking wagers from as low as N1,000 to as high as N1,000,000 and beyond, allowing gamblers to predict when the ailing President of Nigeria might possibly return to Nigeria.
According to the Naijabet site, more odds are being placed on the President returning in the first week of August. The second week has the lowest odds at 1.15 to 1.
The Presidency released a statement last month indicating that no one could know when their principal would return as it was entirely at the discretion of the foreign medical team responsible for the treatment of the president.
