Meeting between the Federal Government and labour union regarding the increase in the price of petrol which lasted till midnight ended up in deadlock.
Both parties seems not to have reached any logical conclusion on the new petrol price as the labour union were not convinced by the figures presented by government team.
Addressing journalists after the four-hour meeting on Tuesday morning, Mr. Babachir Lawal, the Secretary to the Federal Government however said the meeting was a fruitful discussion and that the two parties will continue from where they stopped.
The meeting is billed to continue 3pm on today (Tuesday). But Mr Lawal refused to said anything further on the matter in response to questions from journalists.
In attendance at the meeting were the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba; NLC Secretary, Peter Ozo-Esun; PENGASSAN President, Olabode Johnson; NUPENG President, Igwe Achese; TUC President, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole Bobboi Kaigama; Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige; and Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.
