Nigeria records 176 new cases of COVID-19 as toll hits 5,621

176 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,621.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), out of the new cases, 95 are confirmed to be in Lagos, 31 in Oyo, 11 in Abuja, eight each in Niger and Borno states, six in Jigawa, four in Kaduna, three in Anambra, two each in Edo, Rivers, Nasarawa and Bauchi and one each in Benue and Zamfara.

The agency also stated that the number of recovered cases stands now at 1,472, while the death toll from the disease stands at 176.
