NPower on Tuesday launched a method which it calls Captain N-Power, intended to fish out beneficiaries who are earning from other employment.
The information applies to existing beneficiaries, that is those hired in 2016.
The scheme which was initiated by the Federal Government has in mind to empower more than half million unemployed youths through skill acquisitions, whereas they receive stipends of N30,000 monthly for 2 years.
The information warning beneficiaries says, “Are you an existing beneficiary? Are you also earning from other employment? Captain N-Power has been activated fo fish you out. Exit the programme today before you are caught.”
N-Power had earlier hinted of a whistle blowing policy to capture those that has turned the scheme to “means of earning free money”, hence activating Captain N-power.
Currently the assessment tests for new participants are going on and billed to end August 31 with over 3 million applications the scheme has to handle.
Although less than 200,000 beneficiaries have been hired already, the Nigerian government plans to reach 500,000 youths in the N-Power initiative.
