Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has appreciated fans and friends for looking out for her, saying she is recuperating from her illness and will soon be back to work.
“I am recuperating; I am not back to work. I need to be strong enough before I get to work. I really thank my fans, their prayers helped a lot. I just thank everybody who was there for me. I also want to use this opportunity to thank the first lady of Kogi State. God should just bless her,” she told Saturday Beat.
Halima who reportedly went through cancer surgery, has been away from movie industry for a while now.
Recall how the actress cautioned fans and colleagues not to see her as someone that is on the journey to the beyond and that no one should donate money for her health bills, saying she never made agreement with her maker to end her life that way.
This follows actress colleague, Tonto Dikeh, who had taken to social media to announce the condition of Halima’s health and asking for prayers that she gets well.
