Pop singer David Adeleke, best known as Davido, is an household name for lovers of music and this year has been marked for him as one where he bags many awards, even at international level.
This year alone the 30 Billion hit maker also lost three friends, who died for different courses, of which he was accused of being involved in one of them. But another thing that occupied his thinking is of course, feud with fellow singer, Wizkid.
When it seems the battle between the duo has ended, then one fan will trigger one or another cause of battle, always for supremacy.
“Everybody knows what had happened to me this year, especially with the death of my friends. But I just had to overcome it and prevail. It is an amazing feeling when you are able to prevail”, Davido said in an interview with Saturday Beats, adding that the year had been very challenging, but said he has overcome all of them.
The 25-year-old added: “I am happy and I thank God for the great things He has done for me this year. I thank everybody that has been supporting me. My tour was great, we went to 60 cities around the world and I am going to round it off in Lagos. It would be an amazing show and people should expect madness. It is God I guess.”
Asked about the widely spoken feud with Wizkid in their battle of supremacy, Davido dismissed the discussion, saying he is on his own. “There is nothing between Wizkid and me; I am on my own. There is nothing.”
