A Tradition of Giving

Davido first embraced this tradition in 2021, when he raised over ₦200 million after publicly sharing his bank account details, and then donated the funds to orphanages across Nigeria.

In 2022, he formally launched the Davido Adeleke Foundation to support vulnerable children. By 2023, the foundation announced it had provided over ₦200 million in aid to orphanages, benefiting 13,818 children nationwide.

This year’s gesture, which focuses on orphanages and anti-drug campaigns, highlights Davido’s expanding scope of philanthropy.

Fans and observers have hailed the artist as a role model, encouraging others in the entertainment industry to emulate his approach to societal impact.
