An undergraduate of University of Ilorin has volountarily dropped out of the institution because the WAEC (West African Examination Council) result used to gain admission was ill-gotten.

FELLOW PRESS reports that Abolarin Akin Jephtah was a 300-Level student in the department of sociology and being prinked by his conscience, he felt the least he could do was make restitution not only to denounce the O’Level result gotten out of dishonesty but to withdraw from the university as well.

Japhtah’s intention was addressed to the university authority, dated August 5, 2016, stating that his foundation was faulty which has definitely warranted his collapse. He thought withdrawing was the fastest route to repentance and he chose to restart.

He openly withdrew from school.

But he also showed hope of better future as he noted in his letter how he “encountered limelight of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which called for repentance and restitution.”

“I have realized that there is no point building my academic career on faculty foundation, since the WAEC result I got through malpractice is the basis in which my admission into the university is anchored,” he noted.
