  • Company Clarifies No Separate Recruitment Process for PHRC
  • Urges Vigilance to Prevent Public Deception

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has cautioned the public to ignore a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating online, claiming to be associated with the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC).

In a statement issued by the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi O. Soneye, NNPC Ltd. clarified that there is no ongoing recruitment for PHRC. The company further explained that the only current recruitment process is a general one that began last year, covering all NNPC Ltd. businesses, including the refinery.

“The alleged recruitment advertisement being shared across various online platforms is a scam intended to exploit the public by fraudulent individuals looking to take advantage of the renewed attention on the Port Harcourt Refinery,” the statement read.

NNPC Ltd. also assured the public that candidates who successfully completed the Computer-Based Aptitude Test will advance to the interview stage, which is set to take place this week. The company advised Nigerians to be cautious and not to fall victim to such deceptive schemes.

The warning comes in the wake of increased interest in the revitalized refinery, with many eager to be part of the ongoing transformation. NNPC Ltd. urges applicants to only trust official communications for recruitment matters.
