Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Confirms Safety, Dispels Misinformation About Los Angeles Fires
Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has reassured fans that she and her family are safe amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. In a public statement, the actress expressed gratitude for the concern shown by her followers and addressed circulating rumors about her whereabouts.
“I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and kind words over the past few days,” she said. “Your thoughtfulness means the world to me.”
Omotola also clarified misinformation suggesting that the fires forced her to leave the United States. She explained that she has been in Nigeria since December 2024 and remains there.
“To set the record straight, my family and I are safe. The reports claiming I left the U.S. because of the fires are false. While I have a deep connection to Los Angeles, these fires were not the reason for my travel. I kindly ask media outlets to correct this misinformation,” she said.
Though far from Los Angeles, Omotola emphasized her strong bond with the city, describing it as a second home and a place of inspiration. “My heart remains with Los Angeles during this difficult time. It’s not just a city to me—it’s a home and a community where countless dreams take flight,” she shared.
As the fires continue to cause destruction, Omotola extended her thoughts to victims and praised the efforts of first responders. “My prayers are with everyone affected, from the families who have lost their homes to the first responders working tirelessly to protect lives and property,” she said.
The actress called for global unity and empathy. “This crisis reminds us of our shared humanity. Let’s stand together, support those in need, and help rebuild. Together, we are stronger,” she added.
Omotola also encouraged her followers to support organizations working to aid those affected by the fires, underscoring the need for resilience and collective effort during challenging times.
