Liz Cambage Earns More on OnlyFans Than Her Entire WNBA Career

Former WNBA star Liz Cambage has revealed she made more money in her first week on OnlyFans than during her entire professional basketball career. The four-time All-Star, who parted ways with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2022, has since built a lucrative presence on the platform, earning an estimated $1.5 million annually.

Cambage signed a one-year, $170,000 deal with the Sparks in early 2022 before mutually ending her contract later that year.

After leaving the WNBA, she briefly played overseas with Maccabi Bnot Ashdod in Israel and Sichuan Yuanda in China. However, her decision to join OnlyFans marked a major shift in her career trajectory.

“Basketball was a part of me, but it wasn’t all of me,” Cambage said, explaining her move to the subscription platform. She described her OnlyFans content as a blend of fashion, art, and creativity that allowed her to explore another side of herself.

While Cambage earned $221,450 in her highest-paying WNBA season, her OnlyFans success has reignited discussions about the stark pay disparities between male and female athletes. Top NBA players regularly earn tens of millions per year, highlighting the financial inequities in professional sports.

Despite her pivot, Cambage has not ruled out a return to basketball. “I’m not closing any doors, but right now, I’m focusing on building something new,” she said.

Drafted by the Tulsa Shock in 2011, Cambage also played for the Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces. She made history as the WNBA’s leading scorer in 2018 and earned All-WNBA First Team honors that same year. Representing Australia, she won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a silver at the 2018 FIBA World Cup.

Known for her on-court dominance and off-court charisma, Cambage appeared on the cover of ESPN’s Body Issue in 2019. Now, she’s using her platform to highlight issues of equity and redefine what success looks like after sports.
