Woman Sets Police Husband on Fire in Ogun

A tragic incident unfolded in the Iperu area of Ogun State when Sarah Ayinde allegedly set her husband, Abidemi Ayinde, on fire following a dispute. Abidemi, a special constable with the Ogun State Police Command, was severely burned in the attack.

According to reports, the attack took place around 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, at No. 20 Igboore Street in Iperu. After the incident, Sarah Ayinde fled the scene, leaving her husband severely injured.

Confirming the incident on Monday, the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated that Abidemi was rushed to Bolawatife Hospital for immediate medical care and is now in stable condition. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend Sarah Ayinde, who remains on the run.

“The victim was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment, and we are doing everything possible to track down the suspect,” Odutola said. The police have vowed to continue their search for Sarah Ayinde and bring her to justice for the crime.
