Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price to N899.50 as Festive Season Relief

Date:

  • Offers Extra Litre on Credit for Every Cash Purchase with Bank Guarantee

In a move to cushion transportation costs during the festive season, Dangote Refinery has slashed the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per litre. This new price, announced in a statement by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, takes effect immediately.

The latest reduction follows a previous price cut to N970 per litre on November 24, marking another effort by the refinery to provide financial relief to Nigerians as travel expenses typically surge during the holidays.

As part of a special holiday offer, Chiejina revealed an innovative incentive for consumers. For every litre purchased in cash, buyers can secure an additional litre on credit by presenting a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM. Additionally, customers can take advantage of our credit offer with the required bank guarantees,” he said.

Dangote Refinery, Africa’s first privately-owned oil refining facility, reaffirmed its dedication to providing high-quality, environmentally friendly petroleum products at competitive prices. The refinery also pledged to help end Nigeria’s reliance on substandard, blended imported fuel, which has negatively impacted health, machinery, and the environment.

The company expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their continued patronage and promised to remain a key player in addressing the country’s energy needs.
