  • Netizens question family values after scandal rocks popular influencer’s marriage.

Nigerians on social media are in an uproar over a leaked private video involving popular content creator Kuye Adegoke, better known as Egungun of Lagos.

In the video circulating online, Egungun is seen brushing his teeth during a video call with an unidentified woman while wearing only shorts. The clip takes a scandalous turn as he inadvertently exposes his private parts to the woman on the call.

This incident follows a public revelation by his wife, Pashotah, who earlier addressed a blackmail attempt involving her husband’s private videos. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, she revealed that the blackmailer bypassed her husband and directly approached her with the intent of humiliating her.

In her defense of her husband, Pashotah said, “This relationship has been built over 6-8 years on trust, loyalty, and understanding. There is nothing that can bring us down, not even now.”

Her statement has ignited mixed reactions, with many social media users questioning her loyalty and the couple’s moral standing.

Social Media Reactions:

Netizens are divided over the issue, with some condemning Egungun’s actions while others praised his wife for her resilience.

  • Dr. Penking on X.com wrote, “So Egungun’s wife watched that video and still defended him? Nigerian women deserve better!”
  • Peace Ighodaro countered, saying, “Egungun’s wife is the perfect example of an understanding partner.”
  • Billzcollecshun remarked on Facebook, “Supporting men at their lowest—she’s clearly left the ‘women’s association.’”
  • Mercy Akuma stated, “It’s her choice to stick with her man, no matter what.”

Meanwhile, others took a more controversial stance:

  • Afowose, on X.com, said, “Where should she go? Another man who might cheat and not love her like her husband does?”
  • Chance Da Mayor added, “Her place is with her husband. Forget the blackmail issue; she’s showing real commitment.”

Calls for Silence or Action:

Some users suggested Pashotah should have handled the matter privately to avoid further public scrutiny.

  • Jimmy01 noted, “She has a lot to lose and has chosen a defensive strategy, but deep down, this must be hitting her hard.”
  • David Isemin remarked, “She should have stayed silent; it would’ve been better damage control.”

As of this report, Egungun of Lagos has yet to address the controversy, leaving the public to speculate on the couple’s next steps.
