Pastor Adeboye Apologises For Saying You Won’t Make Heaven For Not Paying Tithe

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye has tendered apology for his previous stance on paying tithe.

Adeboye had said anyone not paying tithe will not go to heaven, signifying that people in such category are hell-bound.

The clergy l, however make a turn-around, first by apologizing for previous statement and emphasises on another criterial which are making peace with people and holiness.

Pastor Adeboye said, “I’m apologizing for saying,’If you don’t pay tithe, you won’t make it to heaven.’ I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible. What the Bible says is, ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see God.”

The apology has since garner great comment from netizen as some praise him for being humble enough to tender and apology despite being a general overseer, while some said he still need to add more apologies for his other ‘misleading utterances’.
